Turning the Page for Change - Our Annual Celebration

Thank you to the nearly 400 supporters of the Notebook who gathered at the University of the Arts on June 9 for our annual celebration. This year's Turning the Page for Change honored photographer Harvey Finkle for his 15 years with the Notebook.

Parents, educators, elected officials and business leaders who rely on the Notebook’s independent voice and advocacy on behalf of Philadelphia’s public schools came together to honor the nonprofit news organization and highlight the top high school journalists in the city. This festive event featured awards for outstanding high school journalism, talented local musicians and the opportunity to speak with the most influential voices in the local education community. Loraine Ballard Morrill, director of news and community affairs at iHeartMedia Philadelphia, emceed the event.
